The Histochemical Society

The Histochemical Society fosters the study of cell and tissue biology through support of scientific meetings and publications that emphasize the use of molecular and morphological techniques. A major goal is to further the development and application of leading technology in histochemistry, cytochemistry and morphology of normal and diseased cells and tissues.

The Society owns and publishes the Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry, a leading journal whose goals are to publish significant advances in molecular detection techniques and their application to biologically meaningful hypotheses.

Regular and associate members of the Society receive complementary subscriptions to the on-line Journal. In addition members receive: a reduced registration fee at the Society’s annual meeting, the opportunity to present papers, exchange ideas and network with world-leading scientists, automatic membership in the International Federation of Societies for Histochemistry and Cytochemistry and eligibility for Travel, Vector Young Investigator, Ralph D. Lillie, HCS Outstanding Young Investigator and Glick Lectureship awards.

For information on membership please visit The Histochemical Society website at www.histochemicalsociety.org

Travel awards for students and junior scientists to attend our annual meeting are available and applications should be submitted by November 7, 2007. Information is available on the HCS website.
